Anti-government extremist Jerad Miller may have made a suicide pact with his wife before the two went on a deadly rampage Sunday, but indications are he died from a Metro Police bullet.

A source within Metro said the gunshot wound that proved fatal to Jerad Miller, 31, was delivered from a Metro Police rifle. The Clark County Coroner’s Office would not confirm or deny the report, but instead referred questions to Metro.

Autopsy results released Monday said Jerad Miller died of a gunshot wound to the chest, but those results didn’t specify whether the fatal bullet came from a Metro rifle or from one of the guns used by Jerad or Amanda Miller, 22, during their deadly attack.

Officially, Metro, which initially said Amanda Miller killed her husband in a death pact, has not commented on the report.

Meanwhile, another report surfaced that a Metro officer involved in the firefight with the Millers inside a Wal-Mart at 201 N. Nellis was wounded. The source of the report, a high-ranking Metro officer, said the wounded officer went home that night not realizing until later that he had shrapnel in his leg. He went quietly to the hospital and got it taken care of, according to the source.
