FALL RIVER, Mass. — Aaron Hernandez's attorneys want to issue a subpoena to the New England Patriots for medical, psychological and other records on their former player.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd, whose body was found near Hernandez's North Attleboro home.
A Patriots spokesman declined to comment Tuesday.
A Bristol Superior Court judge on Monday set a July deadline for the team to respond to the defense's requests for the 2010-2013 records.
In seeking the records, the attorneys said Tuesday the material is potentially relevant to Hernandez's circumstances and state of mind. They asked to receive the information within 30 days.
Hernandez also has pleaded not guilty in a separate case accusing him of killing two men in Boston in 2012.
