Legends indoor soccer team joins new league

The Las Vegas Legends indoor soccer team announced today it will compete in the newly formed Major Arena Soccer League.

The 24-team league, which took franchises from the Professional Arena Soccer League and the former Major Indoor Soccer League, calls itself the top professional indoor league. It’s an international league with franchises also in Mexico.

The Legends, who play at the Orleans Arena, were founded in 2012 and reached the Professional Arena Soccer League’s semifinals the past two seasons. The team averages about 1,000 fans per game.

Here’s a listing of the league’s teams and other details.
