51s win fifth straight game

Anthony Seratelli and Cesar Puello hit home runs for the Las Vegas 51s today in an 11-5 victory against visiting Memphis to open a four-game series at Cashman Field.

Puello had five RBIs for the 51s, including a two-run single in the third inning to help Las Vegas score five runs in the frame. Later in the third, Seratelli belted a two-run home run.

Josh Satin, Cory Vaughn and Puello each scored two runs and every Las Vegas position player recorded at least one hit, helping the 51s win their fifth straight game.

Noah Syndergaard (6-4), despite giving up two home runs and five earned runs, pitched into the seventh inning to earn the win.

The series continues at 12:05 p.m. Sunday.
