The front page of the June 20 Sun has Harry Reid rightfully quoted as opposing billionaires such as the Koch brothers’ ability to “buy America” with their billions of dollars contributing to Republican interests.
Well, Sen. Reid, how about this solution: Our representatives should make it illegal to accept money from anyone to influence their vote. It also should be illegal for lawmakers to accept favors, gifts and influence.
Sounds impossible, doesn’t it? After all, the lawmakers doing the voting are the ones receiving those favors, gifts, money and influence!
“We the people” are sick and tired of it. Could lawmakers stop all the rightful but useless politically unilateral braying and do something about it?
