Man arrested after barricade
Metro Police arrested a man barricaded inside an apartment with a woman and child for more than five hours today after a domestic dispute.
The standoff started about 6 a.m. after police received a call about a domestic dispute in the 3900 block of Palm Beach Street, near Alexander Road and Hualapai Way. A man inside the home with a woman and child refused to allow police inside, police said.
Metro SWAT responded and were able to evacuate the woman and child about 10:45 a.m. Police arrested the man about 11:30 a.m.
Metro is investigating the incident.
