Crash
A young child was hit by a moped driver who fled the crash site this afternoon, Metro Police said.
The crash happened about 3:15 p.m. at Pecos Road and Charleston Boulevard, Officer Jesse Roybal said. The child was then taken to the area of Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue, where police and paramedics were called.
Police did not say late Tuesday whether the child was seriously hurt in the crash. Officials also did not disclose the child’s age or gender.
