Two people critically injured in early morning crash

Two motorists are in critical condition after a head-on collision early today along Eastern Avenue near Wigwam Avenue.

Police responded about 3:20 a.m. to the crash. Metro said a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Kiron Williams, 27, Las Vegas, was traveling south on Eastern and was hit head-on by a Mazda 3 driven by Jennifer Hemphill, 27, Las Vegas. The Mazda was traveling north on Eastern and swerved into a southbound lane, police said.

Both drivers were transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
