Do you believe in magic?
Everything present in our universe was contained in a singularity prior to the Big Bang and has simply unfolded over approximately 13.5 billion years.
Scientific reasoning dictates that consciousness was there at that moment. To conclude otherwise is to believe in magic — you cannot pull a rabbit out of an empty hat unless the rabbit was already in there, concealed but not yet revealed.
The next question is what was the nature of consciousness prior to this emergence in matter? Or maybe, is consciousness the essence of what animates matter? How about, what should we name this consciousness?
Maybe we could name it the Magician? Ah, nobody would believe you can pull consciousness out of an atom unless it was already in there first. It’s just a trick, right?
