Area of shooting
A woman was shot today at an apartment complex in the northeast valley.
Officer Larry Hadfield said the woman was taken to University Medical Center and police were searching for her assailant after the incident about 1:15 p.m. at the complex near Nellis and Las Vegas boulevards.
The woman's condition wasn't immediately known.
Hadfield said police weren't sure yet what led to the shooting.
Metro is investigating the shooting.
