In the Sunday letter “Show more respect to our president,” the writer says in his 75 years he’s seen many presidents come and go, but never seen such disrespect and disdain for the leader of the free world coming not only from political pundits but from our elected representatives.
Well, in my 85 years I have never seen a president do so much harm that it seems intentional on his part.
He has strained our relationships with our allies England and Israel, cut way back on our defense and cut aid for our troops, but he continues giving “aid” to Muslim countries.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin is having a ball.
Remember shortly before the past election when Obama accidentally left his mike on and told one of Putin’s representatives he’d have to wait until after the election, and the man replied he understood and would relay that message to Putin? Then the murders in Benghazi happened and that conversation was all but forgotten. Doesn’t what is going on in Ukraine seem to connect to all this?
Obama stated recently his low approval rating was racially motivated. In reality, had he been white, he would most certainly been impeached on at least a half-dozen occasions. Our best hope is that in November we attempt to hold him at bay by electing a solid GOP Congress because it isn’t going to happen with the current group in the Senate.
