Elderly woman dies in North Las Vegas crash

A 50-year-old woman died Saturday after crashing her truck into a sedan in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas Police responded about 5:40 p.m. Saturday to reports of a crash at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cartier Avenue.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the woman was driving a Ford F-150 east on Cartier when she failed to yield to a sedan traveling north on Martin Luther King Boulevard. The sedan then slammed into the truck, Patty said.

The woman driving the truck was found unconscious and transported to University Medical Center, where she died, Officer Aaron Patty said.

The 19-year-old male driver in the sedan was not injured. An 11-year-old girl in the passenger seat of the truck sustained minor injuries, Patty said.
