Reading the recent Sun article about Floyd Mayweather Jr., his hundreds of designer shoes, multiple luxury mansions, fleets of limousines, $5 million worth of watches and $18 million in jewelry couldn’t help but remind me of the remarkable contrast in what he values compared with a couple of other star local athletes — Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf.
I wonder if Mayweather will ever embrace the values that have been so passionately and forthrightly played out by Agassi and Graf. I’m not holding my breath.
