NEW YORK — A New York City subway train derailment has sent four people to the hospital.
Firefighters say 15 others suffered minor injuries in Friday's derailment in a Queens tunnel and were treated at the scene.
The express F train was bound for Manhattan and Brooklyn when it derailed at 10:40 a.m. about 1,200 feet south of the 65th Street station in Woodside.
Transit officials say the middle six cars of the eight-car train derailed. They say there were about 1,000 passengers on the train.
Firefighters say the passengers were all evacuated.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
