Down to their last out, 51s rally to beat Salt Lake in 10 innings

Eric Campbell had three hits today for the Las Vegas 51s, plating the eventual winning run with an RBI ground-rule double in a 7-5 victory against host Salt Lake in 10 innings.

The 51s trailed 5-3 entering the top of the ninth, but Allan Dykstra had a run-scoring single and Brandon Allen walked to force home the tying run to force extra innings. Las Vegas was down to its last out, but Allen worked the count to draw the walk and continue the game.

In the 10th, Daniel Muno singled to start the inning, scoring on Campbellā€™s ground-rule double to right field. Dykstra, who finished with three RBIs, knocked a run-scoring single to score Campbell with the insurance run.

Wilmer Flores went 3 for 6 with two RBIs for the 51s, and Allen and catcher Juan Centeno each had a pair of hits.

Las Vegas improves to 22-10 overall, which is the best record in Triple-A.

The series continues at 5:35 p.m. Thursday. Las Vegas is back at Cashman Field on Saturday for a four-game series with Tacoma, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
