letter to the editor:

Congress’ role in Bundy dispute

In Ken Lindsey’s April 26 letter “Who will rein in our government?” his last sentence says Congress should debate and come up with a fair solution as to how the federal government should be reined in regarding the Cliven Bundy situation in Bunkerville.

He implies that the government is out of control and needs to be “reined in.” What Congress should debate is whether the current laws (that all other ranchers are abiding by and Bundy is ignoring) are fair.

With the climate of obstructionism that exists in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, I doubt that fair debates and hearings can happen there, since the only thing Speaker John Boehner wants to debate is how to repeal Obamacare.
