A man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest at an apartment complex near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue, according to Metro Police.
Gang unit detectives are investigating the shooting, which happened after two men poked their heads through a window and fired two rounds into a woman's apartment, Lt. Mark Reddon said. No one in the woman's apartment was injured, but a neighbor was shot after he stepped outside to investigate the commotion, Reddon said.
Officers responded just after 6 p.m. and have detained two suspects for questioning, Reddon said. Officers are still looking for a third man in connection with the incident.
The victim, who was found with a gunshot wound to the chest, was transported to Sunrise Hospital, Reddon said.
