The Culinary and Bartenders unions in Las Vegas have issued another warning that they're prepared to launch a strike at downtown casinos if a contract isn't reached.

Union officials said Monday that no date is set for the potential strikes, but a majority of the 3,000 union members at nine casinos along the Fremont Street Experience have signed up for strike benefits and picket line shifts.

Contracts at the casinos expired June 1, 2013. Union members voted in March to authorize a strike anytime their leaders called one.

The Golden Nugget casino downtown reached a five-year agreement with the union last month. Casinos without a contract include The D, Four Queens, Fremont, Main Street Station, El Cortez, Binion's, Golden Gate, The Plaza, and Las Vegas Club.
