Because of recent offensive racist comments by Cliven Bundy, a cattle rancher in Nevada, and Donald Sterling, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team, there has been some controversy about free speech.
Some people feel that they have a right to free expression with no boundaries.
A person who holds these beliefs often uses this rationale to engage in harassment, bullying, intimidation and controlling behavior toward another person. These conducts cannot be condoned.
As the teacher in my citizenship class expressed it so eloquently: Your freedom ends at the tip of the other person’s nose.
