Fire burns two backyard sheds, fence

A fire today reduced two sheds and a fence to charred wood and ashes in downtown Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded about 12:20 p.m. to a fire in 2100 block of Ash Avenue, near Stewart Avenue. The fire destroyed a fence and two sheds behind two adjacent homes, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said.

At least one of the homes was believed to be vacant, Szymanski said. No one was injured.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
