White House: Obama hasn’t decided who’s to blame in VA scandal

WASHINGTON — The White House says President Barack Obama is waiting for a full investigation into the Department of Veterans Affairs' health care system before deciding who should be held accountable.

There are growing calls in Congress for Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign.

White House press secretary Jay Carney isn't saying whether Obama still has full confidence in Shinseki.

Carney tells reporters that Obama believes Shinseki has performed well overall.

Carney isn't saying whether Shinseki's job is on the line, but only that he won't speculate about personnel decisions.

An interim report from the VA's internal watchdog found problems in the VA's health care system nationwide.
