Metro Police are searching for two people who robbed a cashier and others at gunpoint at the slot parlor in a northwest valley Smith’s grocery store Thursday night.
No injuries were reported.
Police received several calls about 10:25 p.m. of a robbery in progress at the store at 4400 North Rancho Drive, Metro Officer Laura Meltzer said. By the time police arrived, the robbers had fled, she said.
Several residents in a nearby neighborhood reported seeing suspicious people, but a search of the area turned up nothing, Meltzer said.
Metro’s robbery unit is investigating.
