A man was killed Monday night when the minivan he was driving rear-ended a stopped semitrailer truck in the south valley, officials said.
The Nevada Highway Patrol received a report about 11:10 p.m. of the crash at the intersection of Blue Diamond Road and Decatur Boulevard, Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said.
The minivan driver, identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Lance Jeffery Horton, 52, of Henderson, was headed east on Blue Diamond when he crashed into the truck, which was stopped at the intersection, she said.
Horton was pronounced dead at the scene, Stuenkel said.
The truck driver was not injured, Stuenkel said.
