Police: No obvious link in 2 North Las Vegas shootings

North Las Vegas police see no obvious link between a shooting that left four people wounded in one neighborhood and gunfire that killed a man less than three hours later across town.

Officer Aaron Patty says two males were questioned but not immediately arrested after an 18-year-old man was found with an apparent gunshot wound about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday near a vehicle outside a gated community at Tropical Parkway and Shark Water Bay Street.

The teen died at a hospital.

Four people went on their own to various hospitals for treatment of gunshot wounds that weren't believed to be life-threatening after a 4 p.m. shooting on Englestad Street. That's near West Lake Mead Boulevard and Revere Street.

Patty says neither shooting appears to have been be a random act.
