Brad Garrett’s Maximum Hope Foundation Poker Tournament included Annie Duke, Jason Alexander, Ray Romano, Larry and Camille Ruvo, Cheryl Hines and Jose Canseco at the Tropicana on Sept. 17, 2011.

Former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco says he wants to make a deal with one lucky person: Purchase his gun and you can also buy his detached finger.

Canseco's finger fell off during a poker tournament Thursday, a little more than two weeks after he accidentally shot it while cleaning a gun at his house in Las Vegas.

Doctors at University Medical Center performed surgery after the Oct. 28 incident to keep the finger attached, but a message on Canseco's Twitter page indicates the former baseball star regrets the procedure.

"My finger should have been amputated from the beginning," the tweet said.

Messages on Canseco's Twitter page Monday said that the 50-year-old plans to put the finger on eBay and is also selling the gun that went off, damaging the finger.

Although it's unclear if the messages were tongue in cheek, descriptions and a photo of the gun were posted to his Twitter account.

According to eBay policies, firearms cannot be listed on the website, though certain firearm parts and accessories can be sold. The website also doesn't allow human body parts to be listed, only items containing scalp hair and skeletons designated for medical use.

Canseco's Twitter account describes the gun as a .45-caliber Remington with a chrome mirror finish and custom grips with crystals and gold plating.

The former baseball player has approached the loss of his finger with humor, with several finger-related jokes posted on his Twitter account since the accident.
