Inmate, 69, from Clark County dies at Carson Tahoe Hospital

A Nevada Department of Corrections inmate from Clark County who was serving two life sentences died Tuesday.

According to a department news release, 69-year-old James Taylor died at the Carson Tahoe Hospital.

Before he was hospitalized, Taylor was housed at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center, the release said.

Taylor was serving a sentence of life without parole for first-degree murder and a life sentence without parole for two counts of murder in the first degree, the release said.

He entered Department of Corrections custody in March 1975, the release said.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
