A man suspected of stabbing a person and then barricading himself in a house downtown has been taken into custody, Metro Police said.
Police received reports about noon today of a stabbing in the 2100 block of Santa Paula Drive, near East St. Louis Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard South, Officer Jesse Roybal said.
The victim was taken to University Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
Police believe the incident may have been related to a domestic dispute, Roybal said.
Officers took the suspect into custody about 3:10 p.m., Officer Laura Meltzer said.
