Four people, two pets displaced by Henderson home fire

A house fire in Henderson early Sunday morning displaced four people and two pets and caused $150,000 in damage.

At 1:30 a.m., the Henderson Fire Department responded to the house fire on Devon Way, near Wigwam Parkway and Arroyo Grande Boulevard, according to a city of Henderson news release.

Although the cause of the fire is undetermined, investigation determined the fire started in the air conditioning unit and then spread under the trailer and to the attic.

The fire department was able to extinguish the fire and the residents were able to evacuate quickly, according to the news release.

A city of Henderson building inspector and fire investigator, Nevada Energy and Southwest Gas responded and assisted at the scene. The American Red Cross also responded and assisted with the displacement of the two adults, two children and two pets.
