Deyon McKinney scored six touchdowns today for the Silverado High football team in a 65-0 victory against Valley.

McKinney rushed for five touchdowns and returned a punt for another score, giving Silverado a win in its Northeast League opener.

Silverado led 58-0 at halftime and opened the second half with a Jarrett Alipio touchdown pass to Robert Richardson. Alipio rushed for a touchdown early in the game.

Silverado coach Andy Ostolaza says his offensive line deserves credit for the win.

“They are in better shape than the beginning of the year,” Ostolaza said. “They are creating space for Alipio and McKinney to run around.”

Silverado plays Foothill next week in the Victory Bell game.
