Metro Police are investigating a pedestrian accident and a collision in which a bicyclist was taken to the hospital after a car left the scene, officials said.
In the first incident, a car collided with a bicyclist about 10:20 a.m. near the intersection of Alta Drive and South Valley View Boulevard, Metro Police Officer Laura Meltzer said.
The car, a silver, two-door Honda, left the scene, she said.
The bicyclist was transported to University Medical Center but did not appear to be seriously injured, Meltzer said.
Police also were investigating a separate accident near South Eastern Avenue and East Flamingo Road.
Police received a call about 12:30 p.m. of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, Meltzer said.
The vehicle remained on scene and the pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Meltzer said.
