UNLV Game-Winner vs. Fresno State

For the second time this season UNLV kicker/punter/linebacker Nicolai Bornand received the Mountain West’s Special Teams Player of the Week honor.

Bornand booted through a 33-yard field goal in overtime for the game-winner in a 30-27 home victory against Fresno State. He also had a 46-yarder to tie the game late in regulation, two touchbacks on his six kickoffs and punted twice for a 44.5-yard average.

Bornand’s first award came after his school-record-tying 54-yard field goal in the Rebels’ victory against Northern Colorado. To the right, check out an on-field view of the kick that snapped UNLV’s four-game losing streak.
