A male driver is in critical condition Tuesday night after suffering head injuries in a crash between two pickup trucks at Rancho Drive and Decatur Boulevard, according to Metro Police.
Police received reports of the two-truck crash about 6:40 p.m., Lt. Mark Reddon said.
One of the trucks veered off the road after the collision and hit a pole, he said.
The driver was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition, Reddon said. He is expected to stay in critical condition for the next 24 hours due to a possible brain bleed.
The male driver of the other truck was not reported injured, Reddon said.
The intersection is closed as police continue to investigate the accident, Reddon said.
