Police working to ID suspect in casino cage robbery

Police say this man robbed the Silver Sevens casino, 4100 Paradise Road, on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of robbing the Silver Sevens casino Monday night.

According to a Metro Police news release, the suspect entered a casino near Paradise and Flamingo roads and slipped a cage cashier a note demanding money about 8:30 p.m.

He threatened the employee with a handgun, and the employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The suspect then fled the scene, police said.

Silver Sevens, located at 4100 Paradise Road, used to be called Terrible's Casino.

Images from the scene show the suspect to be a black man about 200 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches tall.

He is believed to be in his late 40s and has gray in his beard, police said.

He was last seen wearing a backward baseball cap, a long-sleeve gray shirt with buttons and dark pants.
