Dominick Wilson rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries to power Shadow Ridge to a 40-7 win at Durango tonight.

“He’s a downhill runner. He finishes forward and finishes his runs,” Mustangs coach Frank Tousa said of Wilson. “We got some good play out of our quarterback to help out the run game as well.”

That quarterback, Elijah Quintoa, completed 6 of 11 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown. He hooked up with De-Zhon Rogers twice for 36 yards and a score.

Chris McDearmon added 50 yards and two touchdowns on two carries for Shadow Ridge, which improved to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in the Division I Southwest race.

“Our front four on our defensive line set the tone for us defensively,” Tousa said. “We’re starting to get healthier, starting to get back to a complete team. We have a big test next week against Legacy.”

Durango dropped to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in Southwest play.
