Officers are investigating a shooting this evening near Jones and Lake Mead boulevards, Metro Police said.
Police received reports at about 7:50 p.m. of a shooting in the 2000 block of Winwood Street near Lake Mead Boulevard, Lt. Joel Martin said.
One man was shot and has been transported to University Medical Center's trauma center, Martin said. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Martin said.
No suspects are in custody at this time, Martin said.
He said it appears the incident happened within a residence in the area.
Winwood is currently shut down but traffic is moving on Lake Mead Boulevard in both directions.
No further details were immediately available.
Investigators, along with K-9 units, are on the scene.
