A letter to the Sun (Point about Obama misses mark, Aug. 21) called remarks made by Amy Tarkanian over Syria, Ukraine and Iraq “disingenuous” and said she and many other conservatives whine about President Barack Obama’s reaction to foreign affairs but have zero solutions. The writer is wrong.
These areas were doing fine until Obama came into power. Democracy was at work with peaceful voting taking place, the Taliban had been neutralized and weakened, and things were generally improving after nearly a decade of war. Then came this president, who destroyed it by announcing we will pull out of the Middle East and even gave them a timeline. So they waited, then ISIS went in and established the first terrorist nation.
Now we have murders, beheadings and genocide, and it can all be put on the shoulders of this administration. They even have announced America is the next target.
The writer is flogging a dead horse. Many of those who voted for Obama have recognized their mistake and no longer support him. Others have yet to wake up to reality.
