The man who police say was killed in his home Wednesday by a homeless woman living on the property was Joseph Levine, the Clark County Coroner's Office said today.

Metro Police responded at around 6 p.m. to reports of shots fired at a house on the 1200 block of Franklin Avenue near Maryland Parkway and Charleston Boulevard. Police said Levine, 56, was shot by a homeless woman he had been letting sleep in his backyard.

Metro has identified Marjorie Fiora, 30, as the suspect in the shooting.

According to Metro, shortly before the shooting Levine and two family members were inside the house while Fiora was in the backyard. Fiora then entered the home and not longer after the family members heard a loud noise.

A police K-9 unit later found Fiora in the backyard of an adjacent home and took her into custody, Metro said.

Levine was transported to University Medical Center, where he later died.
