A 20-year-old woman who was shot Friday evening has died, according to North Las Vegas Police.
The Clark County Coroner's office has identified the woman as Andrea Lafon.
Lafon was sitting with friends in her car in the 2600 block of small Mountain Avenue when a group of individuals walked by. A verbal fight ensued, and one of the individuals pulled out a gun and shot into the car, striking Lafon, according to a North Las Vegas Police report. Police received the call at 7:17 p.m.
Lafon was transported in extremely critical condition to University Medical Center Trauma and died Saturday.
Police are still looking for the suspect and said they do not believe the crime was a random act of violence.
