A dog died this afternoon as a result of an officer-involved shooting near the intersection of Swenson Street and East Twain Avenue, according to Metro Police.
Reports of a dog attacking a person in the 3700 block of Swenson Street came in at about 2:30 p.m., police said.
Police arrived on scene, and the dog was shot. It is unknown if any individuals were harmed in the incident.
Police are investigating.
