North Las Vegas Police released surveillance footage of two men they said are responsible for the string of violent armed robberies over the weekend that ended when one suspect was shot by an officer and the other escaped.

The footage shows two masked men armed with a shotgun and handgun entering the Family Express convenience store at 2014 West Ann Road at 3:25 a.m. Saturday and holding the clerk at gunpoint. They leave about a minute later with cash from the register.

The man with the shotgun, Clarence Rose, 21, was shot by Krieger following a foot chase, police said. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and arrested on Tuesday.

The other suspect, a male with a green shirt and a handgun, escaped and is at large, police said.

Police said the crime spree started at 2:05 a.m. Saturday when two men entered a convenience store in the 8300 block of North Decatur Boulevard. They held the clerk at gunpoint and fired one round into the ceiling, police said.

Thirty minutes later, police said, they entered another store in the 7700 block of Durango Drive, held up the clerk and robbed a customer.

About a half hour after that, they entered another store in the 7200 block of West Azure Drive, police said. They ordered the clerk to open the register and hit him in the head with a handgun, police said.

At 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, the two entered the Family Express at 2014 West Ann Road. They robbed the clerk at gunpoint and fled north on Clayton Street in a white Ford SUV, poice said.

They were spotted by an officer who attempted to stop the SUV a block north on West Tropical Parkway. Police said the suspects then fled on foot. The chase through a nearby neighborhood ended when Krieger shot Rose and the other suspect escaped, police said.

In all four robberies, police said, the suspects made away with an undisclosed amount of cash and left the victims in fear for their lives.
