letter to the editor:

Why no coverage of incident?

Will someone please tell us what happened sometime around 6 p.m. Aug. 29 to draw a huge mob of people (and police) in front of Boulder Station, enough to nearly close down northbound Boulder Highway traffic to one slow-moving lane. Why was it not considered newsworthy by any of the media?

With a sprinkling of yellow shirts visible through the mob, I am surmising it was another act of terrorism by some union — again accosting the employees’ rejection of dues-paying membership. If true, we taxpayers demand it be reported for the information of all residents.

I have felt the union’s terrorism several times. While enjoying some peaceful gaming with budgeted funds, to find the casino room suddenly overflowing with an onslaught of yellow shirts certainly doesn’t add to the glamor.

What spark could cause a sudden eruption? What can it be termed other than terrorism?

Editor’s note: The Sun’s J.D. Morris covered the Aug. 29 Culinary rally, and a story was posted that evening.
