Foothill bounced back from a tough overtime loss with a 56-6 romp over winless Valley.

The Falcons got two touchdowns apiece from junior running back Justice Jackson and senior Aedan Bartolowits in picking up their first win of the season. Foothill's junior quarterback, Devon Mueller, threw for a pair of scores, as well.

"We're getting better every week at every position," coach Marty Redmond said. "We're taking steps forward. It's good for our confidence to get the win tonight."

Foothill opened the season with a 41-0 loss to Desert Hills of St. George, Utah, then bounced back to nearly knock off Centennial, a top-five team in the Sun's rankings, last week before falling in overtime, 24-17. But the Falcons jumped to an early lead on Valley and never looked back, taking a 40-0 lead by halftime. In all, six Foothill players scored.

The Falcons travel to Canyon Springs next week. Valley plays host to Shadow Ridge.
