Plane makes emergency landing in Las Vegas

A Virgin airliner made an emergency landing this morning at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

Flight 147 was heading to Newark, N.J., from San Francisco when the pilot noticed smoke coming from the cockpit, McCarran spokeswoman Christine Crews said. The call came in at 9:07 a.m. and the plane landed at 9:16 a.m.

The Airbus A320 had 134 people on board. No one was injured.
