A man died this morning in downtown Las Vegas after he was run over by a semi-truck, according to Metro Police.
The 50-year-old man was killed some time between 8 a.m. and 10:35 a.m. in a parking lot located at 300 N. 6th Street, near Stewart Avenue, according to police. After the collision, the driver of the semi-truck left the scene and drove south on 6th Street. It is unclear whether he was aware of running over the man, according to Metro.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the 57th traffic-related death in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
