A bicyclist was hit by a car this afternoon in the eastern part of the valley, according to Metro Police.
Police received a call at about 3:50 p.m. of a bicycle-automobile collision on northbound Tree Line Drive, south of Sahara Avenue near Hollywood Boulevard, according to Lt. Mark Reddon.
Reddon said an adult male on a bicycle was transported to Sunrise Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries to the head and leg.
The car, a yellow Chevy, remained on scene, Reddon said.
The incident is still under investigation and no citation has yet been issued, Reddon said.
