Smith’s recalls some carrot cake containing unlabeled walnuts

Smith’s Food and Drug Stores is recalling some of its in-store bakery carrot cake in Nevada and six other states because it contains walnuts that may not be listed on the label.

No customer illnesses have been reported, officials said.

Smith’s removed the affected items from store shelves and started notifying customers who have purchased the cake through messages on receipts and phone calls, the company said. Customers should return the product to stores for a full refund.
