A 23-month-old girl died today after her father accidentally hit her with his pickup truck in North Las Vegas, police said.
The 24-year-old father was leaving the driveway at a home the 400 block of Yarnell Drive, near West Washburn Road and North Commerce Street, about 11:30 a.m. when he hit the child, police said.
The girl was transported to University Medical Center, where she later died, police said.
The father is not facing any charges. Police said the child's death was "purely accidental."
