A fire broke out at a Motel 6 near Interstate 15 and Tropicana Avenue this morning, county fire officials said.
Crews responded about 7:15 a.m. to the motel at 5085 Dean Martin Drive, not far off the Strip, the Clark County Fire Department said.
No flames were visible from outside the building, but crews found light smoke coming from a second-floor room and were able to extinguish the fire before it spread, the department said.
No injuries were reported, and no one was displaced due to the fire, officials said.
Neither a damage estimate nor the cause of the fire was immediately available.
