Man sent to hospital after apartment fire

A man was transported to the hospital this morning after a third-floor apartment fire, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:20 a.m. to an apartment building at 5540 W. Harmon Avenue. One person was reported on fire in an apartment on the third floor. Crews responded to the apartment and located one male, who was transported to University Medical Center, according to the fire department.

The fire was contained to the single apartment. Two apartments below sustained minor water damage.

The fire caused about $30,000 in damage.
