letter to the editor:

Why is Obamacare now OK for Cruz?

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who recently announced his desire to run for president in 2016, told CNN’s Dana Bash on March 23 that he will sign up his family for Obamacare. Cruz said his wife, Heidi, has recently taken a leave of absence from her job at Goldman Sachs & Co. so she can help her husband with his presidential candidacy. By doing so, she is not entitled to any benefits, including health care coverage.

Ted Cruz has said at different times that Obamacare is a disaster. His push to defund Obamacare led to a government shutdown in October 2013, costing U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars. With Cruz labeling Obamacare a disaster for millions of Americans, the question should be asked: Why is it not a disaster at this time for Cruz and his family?
